Compare material options by full-pack cost
Option A and option B represent two alternative material plans. Each row can use a different product under A and B. The total compares complete packs, not just nominal cost per square metre.
Pack size changes the order
If the required area is 11 m², an A pack covering 3 m² at $30 needs 4 packs, costing $120. A B pack covering 2.2 m² at $25 needs 5 packs, costing $125. A is cheaper despite the importance of pack-size rounding. Use actual product values, not this example, for a purchase.
Price is only one criterion
Compare suitability, durability, finish, maintenance, warranty and installation cost separately. A cheaper box is not automatically a better product. RoomLedger is not a product-rating service and does not validate retailer claims.
Keep currencies consistent
Choose one project currency and enter all prices in it. Currency selection changes labels only. There are no live exchange rates, tax calculations or delivery estimates.
Take a useful list
Select A or B before exporting CSV or printing. The list groups only matching materials and includes the source room names, planned need, pack quantity and surplus. Keep your JSON backup if you want to edit the full comparison later.
